Roger Andrews CTO and Synergy/DE Architect For over 20 years, Roger has assisted the company's Synergy/DE Software Development Team with planning, design, and implementation. From 2000 through 2002, he also served as Professional Services Manager, directing the company's consulting and education services. At the end of 2002, Roger was promoted to Synergy/DE Architect, and he started driving Synergex's Microsoft .NET initiative. In 2005, Roger became Synergex's Chief Technical Officer and now participates in defining and managing corporate direction and technology. Prior to coming to Synergex, Roger was Vice President of Consulting and Services at CCAT (now Phoenix), a large Synergex ISV based in the United Kingdom. Roger's formal education is concentrated in data processing. Mike Amundsen API Strategy Advisor | Amundsen Inc. An internationally known author and speaker, Mike Amundsen travels the world consulting and talking about network architecture, Web development, and the intersection of technology and society. He works with companies large and small to help them capitalize on the opportunities APIs, Microservices, and Digital Transformation present for both consumers and the enterprise. Amundsen has authored numerous books and papers. He contributed to the O'Reilly Media book, "Continuous API Management" (2018). His "RESTful Web Clients", was published by O'Reilly in February 2017 and he co-authored "Microservice Architecture" (June 2016). Amundsen's 2013 collaboration with Leonard Richardson "RESTful Web APIs" and his 2011book, “Building Hypermedia APIs with HTML5 and Node”, are common references for building adaptable Web applications. His latest book -- "Design and Build Great APIs" -- for Pragmatic Publishing is scheduled for release in early 2020. Phillip Bratt Developer Support Engineer Phillip Bratt joined the Synergy/DE Developer Support team in 2014 after graduating with a degree in computer science. He has extensive knowledge of the Synergy/DE product suite, with specialties in .NET technologies and Synergy Integration for Visual Studio support. He also trains new Synergy developers through the Synergy/DE Language Essentials program. Rosanne Brill VP of Software Development Since joining Synergex in 1990, Rosanne has successfully managed numerous development projects, resulting in the delivery of new product versions every 12-18 months. Responsible for all Synergy/DE product development projects and resources, Rosanne directs a technical staff of developers, test engineers, and writers. Prior to coming to Synergex, Rosanne had six years of product development experience at System Integrators, Inc., most of which were spent as product manager. Don Fillion VP of Professional Services Don has more than 20 years of management experience in delivering technology solutions to businesses of all sizes. He joined Synergex in 2007 as a Senior Consultant in the Professional Services Group. After successfully managing numerous large client engagements, he was promoted in 2009 to lead the PSG team as Director of Professional Services. Prior to joining Synergex, Don was Vice President and CTO of Distribution Management Systems, where he managed software development, followed by Vice President of East Coast Operations for AFS Technologies, where he managed the technical operations of a vertical market software division. Don holds a BA in Economics with a Computer Science concentration from Boston College, where he was a Scholar of the College, and an MBA with a minor in Logistics from the University of New Haven, where he was named a graduate fellow. Jacklin Garcia Education Services Program Manager Jacklin joined Synergex’s education department in 2016. In 2019, she was promoted into the role of Education Services Program Manager in order to take on internal educational programming in addition to our customer education efforts. She has a background in project management, recruiting, and training. She’s passionate about building a more comprehensive onboarding program for Synergy developers to ensure they feel confident working in the Synergy/DE ecosystem from the beginning. Her favorite thing about her job at Synergex is hosting the annual all-employee hackathon. You can also ask her about Harmony Core, data replication, moving to Visual Studio, and more. Basically she knows a little about a lot which is why the alternate title on her business cards is “Jacklin-of-all-Trades”. Billy Hollis UI/UX Expert | Next Version Systems Billy has been developing software for over thirty years, and has acquired a worldwide reputation in software development and architecture. As a developer and consultant, he has developed systems for healthcare, energy, telecommunications, and human resources. As an author, he has written or co-written ten technology books and dozens of magazine articles. As a conference speaker, he has spoken to thousands of software developers at the largest industry events in the Microsoft space, including TechEd, DevConnections, and VSLive. Jeff Greene Principle Engineer Jeff joined Synergex in 2006 and he brought his passion for open source and standards-based technologies with him. His first contribution to our product suite was Synergy DBL Integration for Visual Studio, for which he architected and implemented items involving Intellisense, debugging, and migration tools. He championed the importance of running Synergy on .NET Core and was the lead developer of that project. Jeff has been instrumental in Synergex’s embrace of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and standards-based technologies. Steve Ives Product Manager Steve has worked as a technical consultant and trainer for Synergex since 1997, developing e-commerce applications and helping companies maximize their vertical market software applications. Steve has experience with networking, building, and managing Internet connections and with security firewall solutions. He is proficient in several programming languages and has been involved in the development of Internet and Intranet e-business software applications. Prior to coming to Synergex, during his 15-year tenure at CCAT (now Phoenix), Steve became an expert in the installation, upgrade, and support of operating systems, layered products, networks, and application software. Marty Lewis Software Development Manager Marty joined Synergex in 2007 as a Software Engineer for Workbench.
